About Us
Founded in late 2024 amidst the Iron Swords War, Civil Anchor (R.A.) is an Israeli nonprofit delivering comprehensive support to civilians impacted by war, displacement, and trauma. While responding to immediate crises, Civil Anchor builds long-term resilience for Israel’s most vulnerable communities. We operate in three core areas:
1. Helping evacuees return home and rebuild their lives:
Thousands of families evacuated from frontline communities face daunting bureaucratic, financial, and legal challenges. Civil Anchor guides residents through the complex process of returning home — coordinating with government agencies, contractors, and local authorities to expedite compensation, home repairs, and reintegration. We ensure that residents are aware of their rights, access available benefits, and regain stability as quickly as possible. This program is already actively operating in multiple northern communities.
2. Global advocacy and combating antisemitism:
As antisemitism rises worldwide and Israel faces increasing hostility, Civil Anchor is training a new generation of young Jewish leaders to advocate for Israel with confidence and integrity. Through a structured online program led by diplomats, journalists, and experts, participants learn public diplomacy, historical context, digital engagement, and how to confront misinformation. Targeting Jewish students, influencers, and emerging leaders across North America, Europe, and beyond, this program will help protect and bolster Israel's image in public, academic and online circles.
3. Trauma recovery in frontline communities:
Frontline communities experienced extensive damage during the war, and some residents lived under constant missile fire for months, leaving deep psychological wounds — especially among children and youth. Civil Anchor is launching the Anchor for Resilience Program — providing educators and counsellors with advanced trauma-informed training, self-care tools, and community-based support. The program empowers caregivers to address PTSD and anxiety in children, fostering long-term resilience.
